The Sarabite: Towards an Aesthetic Christianity

There is a continuous attraction, beginning with God, going to the world, and ending at last with God, an attraction which returns to the same place where it began as though in a kind of circle. -Marsilio Ficino

A More Conventional Requiem

Here is a more conventional Requiem Mass recording I can recommend to all. It is one of the most beautiful examples of classical polyphony I have yet to hear: the Gabrieli Consort performing Cristobal MoralesĀ“ Requiem Mass in liturgical context.

Indeed a first-class recording.

The polyphonic Pie Jesu at the end of the Dies Irae is breathtaking as is the (non-Tridentine) Invitatorium for Mattins.
