The Sarabite: Towards an Aesthetic Christianity

There is a continuous attraction, beginning with God, going to the world, and ending at last with God, an attraction which returns to the same place where it began as though in a kind of circle. -Marsilio Ficino

A Draft of Shadows

I am where I was:

I go behind the murmur,

Footsteps inside of me, heard with the ears,

The murmur is of the mind, I am my footsteps,

I hear the voices that I think,

The voices that think me as I think them.

I am the shadow that my words cast.

-Octavio Paz, from the poem, Pasado en Claro (my translation)

Very appropriate for a blogger.
